A- Try and finish and upload digipak and advert.

C- Try and experiment with a few images on the digipak to see what effect you can get.

Construction of Digipak

This is what we have done so far for the digipak. as we didn't have an image to use for the digipak, we could only add the name of the album, artist and start to add names of the songs.

Construction of Advert

This is what we have done for the advert of our album. however we didn't have a picture that we could use, so we could only edit the text and add in the name of the album etc.

Rough cut 4

This rough cut includes more flashback scenes to make the narrative of the music video more clear to the audience. However the new footage hasn't been edited to go along with the beat of the song, so this will have to be done in the final version. Also on of the comments was that the artist was cheating with his girlfriend which is not what we wanted to do so that will have to be changed.

Today we discussed about what we can do for the evaluation, as well as what it will be done on. We also discussed what type of shots that we could do for our music video and we decided that there will be an opening shot of the artist making a cup of coffee

I added comments to some of my blog posts. i also did some editing of the music video, as there were no thought beats, so I started to edit the music video so that there were some thought beats.

Today I added comments to some of my blog posts explaining what each post is and if there is anything wrong with the work. I also commented on the rough cuts, that we made and said what we need to add for the music video as well as any changes that may need to be made.

30/11/2015 update

Today I my blog as well as the rough cut was reviewed and I was given feedback. This feedback said that I had to add the shot list onto my blog, and create more call sheets. It also talked about the footage and how some of the shots were not in focus. I will try to address these concerns for my blog and footage.

Shot list

This is our shot list, this shows the number of shots as well as the type of shots that we will use. It also talks about the action that is used within the shot and it talks about the mise en scene within the shot.

Drawing for the advert and digipak

This is the drawing of the digipak as well as the advert that we might use for our final piece. however the idea might change when we do the final piece. the fist drawing will be used as the digipak, it is a picture of the artist. the picture is then faded and it has a mountain inside of the artist. The second drawing is a picture of the artist at the bottom of the mountain, with a faded picture of a girl in the sky.

I have finished the advert as well as the album cover for the draft drawing, however i haven't scanned them in yet.

Lighting experimentation

This is some experimentation with the lighting, which will be used for some shots of the artist, as well as some shots that might be filmed in the dark. As you can see it light up a bit of the field of view. So we might use this in our final video.

24/11/2015 Progress

I have started the drawing for the album cover, I have nearly finished the drawing as all I need to do is the mountain in the outline of the artist. From there I will scan the drawing in.

Analysis of font

This is an analysis of the types of font that we could use for the advert and digipak. We want to choose a font that will suit James Blunt, also we want to sue a font that will be best suited for the song. 

Animatic James blunt

This is our animatic of our storyboard for James Blunts "When I find love again". This shows how our music video will play out. However, it may change when we do our final piece.

Rough cut 3

This is our third rough cut. This rough cut, has some of the flashbacks within the music video, these flashbacks show the artist with his old girlfriend who are out on a date. Also the music video has been edited so that there are more thought beats. However, there are still some shots that are still a bit out of focus, also the narrative of the music video is still a bit difficult to understand.

23/11/2015 progress

I have finished the drawing for the advert for James Blunt, I have also started the digipack and this will be an outline of the artist and within it there will be a picture of a mountain in it.

Rough cut 2

This is our second rough cut. This rough cut has some shots of the artist in a dark room singing, there is also some shots of the artist playing an acoustic guitar. However, some of these shots are still out of focus and we still need to add some flashback shots.

Filming details for 21st-22nd

Our group have decided that we will go out to get the second part of our music video and flashbacks for the throughout part of out music video. we will go get our flashbacks from 1pm on Saturday, where we will visit Crimdon beach to get  some scenes of our artist walking the dog with his girl, and perhaps get some images of him and her walking the dog in the park. we will also visit cafe Rappor in Hartlepool town to get some shots of them in the cafe. the plan also includes getting the out of focus shots of the car from rosemary topping however we plan to find a similar place rather than going back to rosemary topping. once we have to sets we just plan to get some shots of them just hanging out in general in Declans house. the Sunday we plan to leave Hartlepool at 5-6 on Sunday to go to the Infinity bridge in Stockton on tees at night to get some romantic shots.

I continued to draw the draft for the advert but i still have need to finish the drawing. I have started to draw the woman's  face but it still needs to be finished.

Today I started to draw the draft for the advert that might be used. To do this, I got a picture of a hill and started to draw it. I will then have a woman's face at the top and the artist at the bottom.

Today, I added three new ideas for the advert, I then posted this to my blog. our group also discussed our music video and about the narrative of the music video. We decided that we were going to film in different places for the flashbacks, one in a cafe another at the infinity bridge e.c.t

Plan for Advert

This is a plan of what we could do for our advert these go into detail about what the shot would be use and what effects might be used for the advert shot. Also some of these ideas could be used as the digipak as well as the advert.

I have started a plan for what we could do for the advert for our music video. I have done this in a word document and I am doing points for different ideas that we could do. I have also been told to do a ancillary plan.

Today we went to the studio and we got more footage of our music video. We filmed three bits of footage, these pieces of footage were of the full song but they were from different angles. one is a close up of a guitar and the other two are of the singer from different angles.

Today I have been editing some of my posts and adding comments. I have also made new post of the first rough cut as well as screenshots of us filming as well as screenshots of group discussions.

Rough Cut One

This is our first rough cut of our music video which is James Blunt's "When I find love again". From looking at the footage, some of the shots aren't in focus, so they are a bit blurry. Because of this we will have to re-shoot some of the shots. We will also have to get more footage specifically some of the flashback scenes.

Today we went to go and film for our music video. We met up outside a place called "Tall Ships", and then we went up to Roseberry Topping. We ended up getting some establishing shots on the top of the hill as well as some lip syncing shots.

Call Sheet

This is our Call Sheet which tells you when we are meeting up, where we are going to film. This also tells you about the roles that we will have in making/filming this music video, as well as the cloths that we will be wearing if we are in the music video.

Risk Assessment

This is our Risk assessment which tells you all of the possible risks that could happen when filming. This risk assessment also tells you who is at risk, what the hazard is as well as how this could be avoided.

Today I continued to work on changing my music analysis for George Ezra onto a different format. our group also discussed more on the storyboard and the type of shots that we might use within our music video.

Survey Monkey results

This is the results of the survey monkey primary audience research. This research will be used to influenced our music video as well as give us an idea of what our audience wants in our music video.

Permission request

This is the permission request for our chosen song which is James blunts's "When I find love again". This permission request has been made as if we didn't make it we would come under copy right issues.

This is our logo tat will be used in our music video at the beginning. The name that we have chosen for that company is called "Ace Productions".

This is our treatment sheet, which tells you of our idea that we have for our video. It goes into detail about what the narrative is that will be used within the music video. It also give some images of what some of the shots should look like.

This is evidence of our focus group. This shows that we have shows our idea to a focus group, and this will be used to influence our music video as well as give us some suggestions of what we could do in our music video.

This is our audience profile, which tells you about our audience. This tells you about there interests, there age and what music they like. This is used to get a glimpse into what our audience is like and this will then help us to make our music video appeal more towards them.

This is the progress that I have done on the 8th of October. I have written one of the ideas that our group may do for our chosen song.

9 Shot Anaysis

This is my 9 shot analysis of "Don't Stop" by foster the people. I have taken 9 different shots of the music video, I then commented on what type of shot is used, why it might have been used. I then tried to link it to the narrative of the song. this will be used to influence my final product as it will make me think more of the types of shots that are used within the music video.
